Yes, NET Ministries Scotland is a Catholic ministry that upholds the teachings of the Catholic Church.

You will be part of a team of 10 missionaries, leading retreats for Catholic schools and parishes, sharing God’s love with young people aged 11 - 18 throughout the year.

Your year begins with five weeks of intensive residential training with NET USA in Minnesota. This time focuses on spiritual and human formation, alongside practical ministry training, equipping you not only for the mission year but also for lifelong discipleship.

You will then travel to Scotland with your team for an additional two weeks of training before beginning your mission.

Throughout the year, your team will be based in Glasgow, Scotland. The men and women live in separate households, sharing a rich community life. From Monday to Friday, you will minister directly to young people in Catholic schools. Weekends are a time to grow together as a team, prepare for upcoming ministry, and enjoy some time off.

For a few weeks throughout the year, you will also travel to England to lead retreats, during which time you will stay with host families.

Serving with NET is an opportunity to grow in faith, discover your gifts, and develop skills that you will carry throughout your life. Through serving with NET you will grow in your prayer life, deepen your relationship with God, build authentic Christian friendships, and develop practical skills in leadership, communication, and public speaking.

Each non UK missionary is asked to fund raise a minimum of £8,000/$10,000. You will be given the support and resources to achieve this. Flights to and from Minnesota, visas, medical cover, food, accommodation and a monthly stipend of at least £110/$125 are provided by NET Scotland.

UK and Ireland missionaries are asked to fund raise a minimum of £7,000 as they do not need Visa and medical cover, the flights, food, accommodation and stipends are still provided
